So, we had a Halloween Party. no pics available. no videos. just these words for you to read. I was gonna be “Snakes on a Wayne”, thought that would be a good costume. but a comedy of errors intervened, and I could not get any snakes. Therefore, I borrowed my buddy Tim’s old costume from last year and went as Super Sperm. I then wasted $70 on a keg of beer of which only about 30% was drank.
Did I mention that I am compiling a very large MP3 collection? too long to post here. well, I could, but that would be an annoying blog entry. But then what blog entry is not annoying? All blogs are annoying.
I have been working on a personal digital video machine, or a “Tivo” in case you don’t know what DVR stands for. (Digital Video Recorder… there, now you know.) Based on MythTV, using specifically an operating system called Knoppmyth. It can also play games, receive streaming radio stations, play videos from other sources such as VCR, the web, downloaded videos, from my video camera, etc.
I spent a ton of time this past weekend working on it, trying to get it to show the entire computer desktop on the TV (Because it’s actually a computer with a video capture card in it). over 8 hours. total waste of time.
